The Department of Psychiatry aims to provide thorough and research-based teaching and training for undergraduate students. It provides outpatient and inpatient treatment for all types of mental health problems. The Department also provides facilities for brief pulse ECT (Electro-convulsive therapy), Biofeedback therapy, Aversion therapy, psychosocial therapy like cognitive and behavioral therapy, Interpersonal therapy, family therapy, Psychoeducation and many more. The students will be able to learn to asses, diagnose, plan the treatment, liaise with different departments and deliver holistic care for patients suffering from mental health problems
